“ENABLING ACT?” When Hitler became chancellor of Germany, his first act was to coerce the second largest party to pass the “Enabling Act”. See "Hitler’s Enabling Act" 1933. The “Enabling Act” allowed the cabinet members to make laws. The filibuster proof Senate and control of the House of Representatives are analogous to the “Enabling Act”. Passing laws without disclosing the content of those laws is certainly the equivalent of the “Enabling Act”. The first stimulus bill was enacted without serious debate and without knowledge of the content proving the point. See "Tyranny Without Representations' 11/20/2009. The tyrants will not relinquish this power without a fight. The loss of the filibuster proof majority by Brown’s election is a huge step in containing the power wielded by the tyrants but the fight is far from won. We are still in the midst of an economic crisis and that crisis is deepening. Remember, both Hitler and Mussolini came to power during severe economic crisis. All of the programs proposed by the tyrants destroy the nation’s wealth and inhibit the creation of wealth, a sure recipe to produce economic crisis. The American Revolution has not been in greater peril since the British fleet abandoned the attack on Baltimore in the “War of 1812”. Perhaps we will be able to dodge the so called “Health Care Reform Bill” that gives the tyrants the ability to use rationing of health care to punish political dissent and extort political support.
